If we were to take a silver lining from this year, it’s that the trend to #ShopLocal has become much more prevalent. When the world has changed and large shops are closed, when the first thoughts are towards community rather than supporting large corporations, shopping local makes sense. It supports the local community and supports a local maker at a difficult time when markets and pop-ups are closed.

In a few short days, all those large stores will be opening again with the ending of the UK’s second national lockdown. Stores are excited to re-open, and shoppers are looking forward to getting in some Christmas shopping.
But in the time of festive commerce, spare some time for the local makers, the independent creatives and the artists keen to offer you something unique. Shop Local this Christmas, and spread the winter cheer!
